After a Tough Year, M&A Targets Rebound
Mergers and Acquisitions in the Healthcare Information Technology industry slowed dramatically during 2009, as the nation's economy sank into deep recession. While the economy still remains in difficulty, the hint of recovery stimulated an increase in Healthcare I.T. acquisitions and that momentum has accelerated in the early part of 2010.
While there have been a number of small and medium sized transactions, there have also been some huge deals made by strategic buyers in hopes of expanding revenue as new government programs and regulations are implemented.
